Sherry Duquet will be sharing her picture book, Violet the Hugging Octopus with children in the care of R’Club, Highway 19 location in Clearwater, Fl.  Children ranging in ages from infant to 5 years old will enjoy hearing Sherry read aloud and share in question and answer time. A favorite with children, Sherry will also teach them how to hug themselves.

Gathering in small groups, Sherry is excited to read to the children with personalized attention and fun.  Each child will also receive a small author gift to remember the visit.

She brings her animated storytelling skills to the R’Club as part of Violet Cares, a charitable arm of Violet the Hugging Octopus.

Violet the Hugging Octopus is an excellent read aloud book, with helpful questions in the back called Seaside Chat.  The questions are adaptable for all ages, to help engage children and adults. Violet the Hugging Octopus is becoming a widely recognized book among parents and educators as a social emotional touchstone.
