Book Reading, Book Signing

Local Writers Live in Ann Arbor

22 July 7:00 pm

This upcoming event is a great opportunity to meet local authors, hear about their books and experiences and to ask questions.

Join Sherry as she visits Ann Arbor to take part in an event called, Emerging Writers Presents: Local Writers Live. She is thrilled to be in town for this intimate event, with a handful of authors.  Sherry graduated from the University of Michigan and is delighted to be back in town to share about Violet the Hugging Octopus.

Please stop in to see Sherry and five other authors in the West Side Room of the Westgate Branch Library.  As part of the experience, each author will be doing short readings from their published books.

During the evening, chat with any of the authors and pick up your own personalized copy of their books.

This event is free to attend and open to the public.

More information about the Local Writers Live evening:

The evening kicks off with readings by two authors with books published by the library’s Fifth Avenue Press imprint: Brad and Kristin Northrop with their picture book, Akeina the Crocodile and Tracy Gallup with her picture book, Paint the Night.

Sherry Duquet with Violet the Hugging Octopus, a children’s picture book with a message of self-love and self-confidence.

Fred Reif with Tell ’em ’bout the Blues: Interviews and stories about my life in the Detroit & Michigan Blues Scene.
